5417- حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ: حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ عُقَيْلٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ -زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ- أَنَّهَا كَانَتْ إِذَا مَاتَ المَيِّتُ مِنْ أَهْلِهَا، فَاجْتَمَعَ لِذَلِكَ النِّسَاءُ، ثُمَّ تَفَرَّقْنَ إِلَّا أَهْلَهَا وَخَاصَّتَهَا، أَمَرَتْ بِبُرْمَةٍ مِنْ تَلْبِينَةٍ فَطُبِخَتْ، ثُمَّ صُنِعَ ثَرِيدٌ، فَصُبَّتِ التَّلْبِينَةُ عَلَيْهَا، ثُمَّ قَالَتْ: كُلْنَ مِنْهَا؛ فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ: التَّلْبِينَةُ مَجَمَّةٌ لِفُؤَادِ المَرِيضِ، تَذْهَبُ بِبَعْضِ الحُزْنِ.
مجمة: ما يجلب الراحة

الثريد: طعام من خبزٍ مفتوت ولَحْم ومَرَق

Talbeenah: a soup made from bran, milk and honey.

5417- Yahya bin Bakir narrated to us: We were told by Al-Layth, on the authority of Aqeel, on the authority of Ibn Shihab, on the authority of Urwah, on the authority of a kinsfolk - PBUH, If one of her family members died, the women would gather for that and then dispersed, except for her family and her own, She ordered a pottery of talbina, and it cooked, then porridge was made, and talbiyah was poured over it, then she said: Eat of them, I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, say: The Talbina is Magamh: brings comfort, For the patient's heart, It go with some sadness.

WE nenefit from the noble Hadith:

1 - Love for benefit others authantique in the soul of the lady Aisha - may God bless with her - and also in the soul whose has a sound heart.

2 - look at The term ( some sadness) not all sadness, and you will know that the prophet peace be upon him didn't utter with word except as a revelation

3 - why the muslims didn't use it in the daily life like spices in every food they cooked?

Now to the scientific evidence which define the benefit of Talbinah.

Talbina is made of barley, honey and milk, all of which have amazing health benefits, The main ingredient is

barley, It contains fats, fibers, and proteins, all of which offer many health benefits to the body.

Contributes to lowering blood pressure

The barley in Talbina helps maintain a low amount of sodium, thus lowering high blood pressure.

Promotes bone health

Among the benefits of talbina is that it promotes bone health. Its components contain iron, phosphorous, calcium, magnesium, manganese, and zinc, all of which improve bone structure and strength. The natural balance between phosphate and calcium is essential for bone health, and talbeenah helps in achieving this balance, which improves joint health and protects them from brittleness.

Promotes heart health

Among the benefits of Talbina is that it promotes heart health. It contains potassium, folate, and vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine), all of which support heart health.

Also, the fiber in talbina helps lower cholesterol in the blood, thus reducing the risk of heart disease.

It was found that eating barley significantly reduced blood cholesterol and visceral fat, which reduced the incidence of cardiovascular disease.

The beta-glucan fiber in talbeenah also lowers LDL (bad) cholesterol by binding bile acids and removing them from the body.

Contributes to the prevention of cancer

Selenium is a mineral that is not found in most foods, but it can be found in talbina. It plays a role in improving liver enzyme function, which helps detoxify some of the carcinogenic compounds in the body.

The side risks of talbeenah

Despite the benefits of talbeenah, it has some harms, as the barley in the Tabineh contains gluten, which is not suitable for people with celiac disease, as they may develop stomach pain and bloating.

Recommended for people who want to increase their fiber intake

Eat Talbeenah, but they should do it gradually over a period of one to two months in order to exercise the stomach.
